GhostInk is a small, independent project that gives everyone simple tools to hide text and images inside other text and images, without handing anything to a server.
Why we built it
Most “secret message” websites ask you to upload your files so their servers can process them. That defeats the point. GhostInk was built the other way around: every algorithm runs inside your browser, so your messages, pictures and passwords never leave your device.
What GhostInk does
- Text in Text hides a secret message between the letters of an ordinary sentence.
- Text in Image plants a message in the pixels of a photo, as lossless PNG or a compression-resistant JPEG.
- Image in Image stores a whole picture inside another one and survives common sharing apps.
All three can add optional AES-256-GCM encryption, so a hidden message is also unreadable without its password. Open the studio to try them.

Local-first
No uploads and no accounts. Your content stays on your device from start to finish.
Honest about limits
Hiding is not invisibility. Specialised tools can detect hidden data, so we recommend a password for anything sensitive.
Free and simple
No installation, no sign-up, and it works on desktop and mobile browsers in English and Arabic text.
